Four cruise ships killed by Covid-19 have been caught aboard Florida – after weeks of uncertainty at sea.

Zaandam and his sister Rotterdam both arrived in Fort Lauderdale after being expelled from South American ports. They were told Florida could not dock. Then the decision was reversed.

Travelers who are fit to travel will go home. There will be dozens of mild symptoms in the quarantine. 14 people with severe symptoms will be treated at local hospitals.

Zaandam planned to leave Buenos Aires on March 7 and end his trip to Chile two weeks later, but was banned after a virus outbreak on the ship.

He then joined Rotterdam to provide supplies, and the two ships met in limbo, refusing to accept their call.

Another cruise ship, Coral Princess (also confirmed by cases aboard), will arrive in Florida on Saturday.
