The UK applauds the NHS and other key personnel – BBC News
People in the UK take part in the second “Clap for Carers” tribute, greeting NHS staff and other key personnel fighting the coronavirus pandemic.
Delivery drivers, supermarket workers, surveillance workers and trash collectors were among the most honored nations.
The houses tapped pots and pans, while others played the bagpipe to show their support.
The event is expected to take place every Thursday from 8pm.
Homes have been gathered on balconies, doors and gardens to honor the efforts of key personnel during the crisis.
Emergency workers and NHS staff also joined in the applause.
