Binu, a construction worker in Kerala in southern India, is deeply saddened to have gone to his uncle’s funeral. He captured Covid-19 at the ceremony and spread it to at least eight other people. Despite the proliferation of infections lately, Kerala is well equipped with its public health system better equipped than other Indian states to deal with the crisis.
