The largest jade mines in the world are located in the relaxing state of Kachin in Myanmar. The Burmese BBC gained rare access to the area where the mountains have become lunar landscapes. The industry is estimated to be worth a whopping $ 31 billion (£ 25 billion) a year. Hundreds of thousands of people have flocked there to find fragments of rock left over from the mine.
