Wikileaks founder Julian Assange has been arrested at the Ecuadorian embassy in London. Assange took refuge at the embassy seven years ago in a case of sexual assault that has since been suspended to prevent extradition to Sweden. Met police said they were arrested for failing to surrender to the court. Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno has said he has withdrawn Mr Assange’s asylum after repeatedly violating international conventions.
