The Indian capital, Delhi, is battling a winter hike in the Covid-19 cases as temperatures drop and air pollution levels rise to dangerous levels. Doctors in the Indian capital Delhi have told the BBC they fear a medical emergency as hidden cases are rapidly rising in the city. As the country enters the festival millions of religions are celebrated, such as the Hindu festival Diwali, the markets have been filled and the social distances have been quiet. India already has the second highest number of cases in the world, but the death rate is relatively low. So far the country’s prime minister has ruled out a second shutdown.
