Police say at least 42 people have been killed and another 20 missing after Typhoon Vampco landed in the Philippines. Floods on the largest island of Luzon caused landslides, cut off roads and forced many to flee their homes. Tens of thousands of people have sought refuge in evacuation centers, including the capital Manila. Typhoon, locally known as Ulysses, is the 21st storm to hit the country this year.
