A BBC News investigation has found failures in the diagnosis of serious medical problems in searches of private babies. More than 200 studios in the UK now sell ultrasounds, and hundreds of thousands are performed every year. But the BBC has found evidence that women have not been told about serious conditions and serious anomalies. The Care Quality Commission says there is good quality care in the industry but “growing concern”.
