The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that a 4.4-magnitude earthquake occurred just 7 minutes ago 32 miles southwest of Sitka, Alaska, and struck a shallow depth 7.1 miles below the epicenter near Sitka on Monday noon, November 23, 2020. It is 1.19 pm local time. The exact size, epicenter and depth of the earthquake may be reviewed within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and improve their calculations, or when other agencies release their reports.
