The Bosai-Tech Open Innovation Challenge looks for startups in emerging technology »Dallas Innovates

Four leading Japanese companies – Tokyo Marine, Dai-ichi Life, NTT DoCoMo and Mitsui Knowledge Industry – are looking to form trade alliances that can drive the emerging technology.

With the Bosai-Tech Open Innovation Challenge, companies hope to be introduced to foreign companies in IT, IoT, artificial intelligence, financial technology, sensors, satellites, healthcare, drones, and robotics. Named bōsai, the Japanese word for disaster preparedness, the program aims to discover technology that can mitigate the effects of a disaster.

The Bosai-Tech Open Innovation Challenge, led by Sendai City and Fukushima Prefecture, came to fruition after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Sendai City, the political and economic center of Tohoku, and Fukushima Prefecture, a prefecture located in Tohoku, want to find innovative solutions that can support disaster recovery.

Nine technology companies from around the world will be selected as winners. The benefits, according to the organizers, include: the opportunity to partner with Japanese companies and high-tech companies, the opportunity to visit Sendai and Fukushima, support for JETRO to expand business in Japan, and to promote the Japanese market.

Keith O. Sanders, assistant director of business development at JETRO Houston, encourages startups in North Texas to apply. JETRO is a trade and investment promotion organization funded by the Japanese government.

Startups and companies wishing to obtain more information can contact JETRO. Sanders also says you can contact him for more information on the initiative.

Sanders defined what each company was looking for with this challenge.

Japanese life insurance company Dai-ichi Life wants to help maintain quality of life in the event of a disaster by helping citizens become more resilient, providing mental health resources, and monitoring and supporting the elderly.

Mitsui Knowledge Industry hopes to conduct a real-time analysis of building damage caused by earthquakes. An IT services company aims to expand its infrastructure capabilities and add new functions that can provide a one-stop solution for disaster prevention.

NTT DOCOMO, a mobile operator, intends to provide citizens with vital information and advice before a disaster strikes. You will do so with 5G solutions and social implementation.

Insurance subsidiary Tokyo Marine Nishido will anticipate and prepare for a disaster. Its goals are twofold: collecting satellite data, analyzing impact, assessing and mitigating risks.

The challenge is divided into two parts: the Open Innovation Pitch Event, in which solutions for Japanese companies are presented via video and online discussions, and the Business Matching Event, which allows companies to present their concept via video to Japanese high-tech companies.

To find out more, there are three briefings on November 26, November 30, and December 3. The deadline for applications is December 16, with the program starting in January or February of 2021. Go here for more information.

For more info and free online quotes, please visit https://compare-autoinsurance.Org/the-advantages-of-comparing-prices-with-car-insurance-quotes-online/ The modern society has numerous technological advantages. One important advantage is the speed at which information is sent and received. With the help of the internet, the shopping habits of many persons have drastically changed. The car insurance industry hasn't remained untouched by these changes. On the internet, drivers can compare insurance prices and find out which sellers have the best offers. View photos The advantages of comparing online car insurance quotes are the following: Online quotes can be obtained from anywhere and at any time. Unlike physical insurance agencies, websites don't have a specific schedule and they are available at any time. Drivers that have busy working schedules, can compare quotes from anywhere and at any time, even at midnight. Multiple choices. Almost all insurance providers, no matter if they are well-known brands or just local insurers, have an online presence. Online quotes will allow policyholders the chance to discover multiple insurance companies and check their prices. Drivers are no longer required to get quotes from just a few known insurance companies. Also, local and regional insurers can provide lower insurance rates for the same services. Accurate insurance estimates. Online quotes can only be accurate if the customers provide accurate and real info about their car models and driving history. Lying about past driving incidents can make the price estimates to be lower, but when dealing with an insurance company lying to them is useless. Usually, insurance companies will do research about a potential customer before granting him coverage. Online quotes can be sorted easily. Although drivers are recommended to not choose a policy just based on its price, drivers can easily sort quotes by insurance price. Using brokerage websites will allow drivers to get quotes from multiple insurers, thus making the comparison faster and easier.
