UK government cuts foreign aid – breaks election promise – BBC News
Chancellor Rishi Suna has announced that the amount of money the UK spends on foreign aid will be reduced from 0.7% to 0.5% of GDP. The decision has been widely criticized and a foreign minister has resigned in protest. Mr Sunak told parliaments to justify spending money abroad when there was a domestic emergency.
