Meet the true mother of three Billboard – BBC News

Marianne Asher-Chapman is the real life character of Frances McDormand at the Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, at the Oscars.

Her daughter, Angela, also named after the movie, was killed by her husband in 2003 but her corpse has never been found.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Department did not respond to the BBC’s request for information on the case.
