Tighter rules for England will “strike a balance” when the national blockade ends next week, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said. In a speech on Downing Street, the prime minister acknowledged that a stricter system of three regional measures to combat coronavirus would lead to “heart pain and frustration”. Most of England will be at the two hardest levels of action from 2 December and the system will be reviewed every two weeks with the first review scheduled for 16 December, so the level of an area can change before Christmas.
