The new analysis says the goals of the UN Paris climate agreement are being achieved “within reach”. The Climate Action Tracker team looked at new climate promises given by China and other nations, along with carbon plans elected by U.S. President Joe Biden. These commitments could keep the rise in world temperatures to 2.1C by the end of this century. Previous estimates indicated warming up to 3C, with disastrous impacts.
