Debenhams will have to close 12,000 jobs in the UK

It’s another major death toll on the UK’s main street: Debenham plans to close all 124 of its stores, endangering the jobs of 12,000 workers. Efforts to rescue the struggling salesman collapsed when JD Sports, the last remaining bidder, came out. The Arcadia Group went into administration and spent a few days there, losing thousands more jobs.
