Bernie Sanders has dropped out of the 2020 presidential race

Senator Bernie Sanders ended his presidential campaign on Wednesday, paving the way for Democratic nominee Joe Biden, and in November with President Donald Trump.

Sanders made a call during a call with campaign staff, the campaign said. Sanders’ departure, after tough performances in the first three states that voted in February, is a surprising reversal of fortune. Until his candidacy was complete, on the last day of February, Biden was defeated in South Carolina and imposed a moderate voter turnout.

The contest is now over, with the country continuing the coronavirus pandemic, which has stalled Sanders and Biden’s campaign, and many states have delayed the primary election.
