The court was wrong Boris Johnson told lawmakers – BBC News
Boris Johnson has been facing the House of Commons since his government failed in the Supreme Court on Tuesday. There were bad exchanges, with the UK Prime Minister saying the judges were wrong “about a political issue during a time of great national debate”. The UK Supreme Court unanimously ruled that Johnson had acted illegally when he suspended Parliament for five weeks. The prime minister also called on the Labor Party to step down and urge opposition parties to agree to a general election. We also report that the automotive and small business industries are ready for a contradictory Brexit government. It was presented by Huw Edwards with reports by Laura Kuenssberg, John Pienaar, Faisal Islam and Lucy Manning. Produced by BBC News in Ten News. Please subscribe HERE .
