Dahlawi missiles reach Libya | Middle east
After discovering that Iranian missiles had reached terrorists and militias in Libya, UN Secretary-General António Guterres told the Security Council: “Based on the analysis of the General Secretariat of the images provided, the Secretariat has established that one of the anti-tank guided missiles has characteristics consistent with the Iranian producer Dahlawi.”
The presence of these Iranian missiles and weapons, about which the Libyan army has already expressed reservations, confirms Iran’s support for the Brotherhood militia in Libya, and a clear violation of the international arms embargo in Libya. The long-range M302 missiles found on the battlefield of the Brotherhood militia allied with the Government of National Accord are extremely destructive missiles with a range of more than 150 kilometers, just like the Zelzal-3 (Zelzal) missiles that the Houthis possess in Yemen. This is the size of the military support that Iran provides to the Brotherhood militia, and it stems from the rapprochement between the Brotherhood and the Iranian regime since the “Khomeinist Revolution” in 1979.
Before revealing that the Brotherhood’s militia possessed these missiles, an Iranian ship included in the list of US and European sanctions, an Iranian Revolutionary Guard ship owned by IRSL, was seized in the port of Misurata, confirming the Iranian regime’s involvement in supporting terrorism. Chaos and militias in Libya and that the Iranian regime is a destabilizing force in the region.
Iran has not stopped sending missiles to the Houthis in Yemen, and has not ruled out targeting Mecca. In fact, they reached many countries and places, such as Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq. Today some of them were discovered and revealed in Libya.
Iran has been interfering in Libya since February 2011, when a group was arrested after trying to spread the doctrine of the “Khomeini revolution” in Libya and persuade the Libyans to follow Wilayat al-Faqih (the regime of jurists – the Iranian political system), taking advantage of their relations with the Brotherhood to do so, although this The faith collides with the dedication of Libyans with the moderate Maliki school (one of the four Sunni Islamic schools) prevailing in the country. Thus, attempts to spread Khomeini fever did not strike a chord in Libya, even among followers of the Ibadi school of thought.
Iran’s attempts to consolidate a foothold in Libya have always faced doctrinal differences between Libyan society and the Iranian regime, especially the former’s relations with the old regime despite Khomeini and Gaddafi’s rivalry for the leadership of the Islamic world. It was not only Gaddafi’s call for the establishment of a second Fatimid caliphate that brought Khomeini’s Iran together with Gaddafi’s Libya. Rather, the latter was behind the Iranian regime during the Iran-Iraq war. Despite this extremely cautious rapprochement, Gaddafi was still unable to visit Iran due to his fear of the disappearance of the Shiite cleric Musa al-Sadr a year after Khomeini’s revolution and the claim that al-Sadr had disappeared in Libya despite the confirmation of his travel and deportation. His clothes and his passport are at a hotel in Rome. Some accuse the Iranian regime of being behind its disappearance in Libya because Khomeini, who was at odds with Al-Sadr, is the biggest beneficiary.
The Iranian regime often hides behind Libya, wiping the blood of the regime’s victims with its clothes. Perhaps the Lockerbie bombing, in which the Iranian regime was accused of being involved in it and who were among its beneficiaries, is a clear example.
The Iranian regime, in partnership with the Brotherhood, is trying to export a copy of Wilayat al-Faqih and obedience to the Supreme Leader to Libya, even though Libya is Sunni. The Iranian regime still remembers the Fatimids who entered Egypt via Libya and whom Gaddafi once praised for declaring the Fatimid caliphate in a political maneuver that Iran believed was sectarian.
Libya will never be anything but Arab Libya, and it will never be Persian, Khomeinist, or even Fatimid, and it will not be subject to the Brotherhood’s control. The Iranian regime is merely exporting its internal issues, and transporting them to Libya, an African country thousands of miles away.
