President Trump has reported that the US recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
He described Trump as a “longstanding step forward” in the Middle East peace process.
The president said the US would support the two-state solution, if it supported both Israelis and Palestinians.
Speaking to the ruling, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas’s spokesman warned that the region will have “dangerous consequences”.
