Tony Blair on EU referendum, Chilcot inquiry and ISIS – BBC News
Labor Prime Minister Tony Blair said leaving the EU would create a “huge economic problem”.
Speaking to Andrew Marr, Blair said “if we vote to quit, we will suffer an immediate blow to our economy” and “years of uncertainty.”
He said this was not a hypothetical risk, but “you will see something directly in people’s jobs and living standards” and confidence in business.
In terms of immigration, Blair said he admitted it was a “big problem” but that it would “be resolved without leaving the EU”.
He adds that some people from Europe “play a vital role in services like the NHS” and that the free movement of people also applies to British people who come to Europe.
