Two earthquakes hit Granada, Spain this week

According to the National Geographic Institute, two earthquakes were recorded in the province of Granada this week.

A magnitude 2.2 earthquake at a depth of 1 km was recorded in the early hours of Thursday morning, precisely at 00:23, with its epicenter in the municipality of Arenas del Rey.

“No calls were received from the population concerned,” 112 emergency services reported.

The day before, Wednesday, a 2.4-magnitude earthquake was recorded in the province of Granada, this time with its epicenter in Atarf.
