Coronavirus: First US country to record over 2,000 deaths in a single day – BBC News
The US has become the first country in the world to register more than 2,000 deaths related to coronavirus in a single day. There have now been more than 20,000 deaths in the US and more than 500 confirmed cases of the disease. According to new evidence, the risk of the virus is greatest for people in minority communities. Most doctors who have died in the UK have been black, Asian, or minority. Patients from these backgrounds also seem to need greater difficulty. Reeta Chakrabarte from BBC News reports North American correspondent Nick Bryant in New York and Rianna Croxford Community Affairs Correspondent.
