There are 20 million more people in England under the harshest Tier 4 rules as deaths rise – BBC News
Another twenty million people in England are under Level 4 restrictions and have been asked to stay home. Health Secretary Matt Hancock said the move was absolutely necessary because in cases the new variant of coronavirus was on the rise. The areas included in Level 4 are Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, North East and Greater Manchester. Three-quarters of the English population will be under the harshest measures.
