Coronavirus: Boris Johnson says it could go either way – BBC News

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he could go “one direction” after thanking health care workers for saving his life after being released from hospital.

Mr Johnson, 55, went to St Thomas’ Hospital in London on Sunday – tested positive for Covid-19 for 10 days.

He spent three nights in intensive care before returning to a ward on Thursday.

In a video on Twitter he said that two nurses were in bed for 48 hours at critical hours.

Johnson said he witnessed the “personal bravery” of hospital staff “as they were doing themselves harm, as they continued to increase this deadly virus.”

Downing Street said the prime minister will continue the revival at his country headquarters, Checkers.

“With the advice of his medical team, the PM will not immediately return to work. He would like to thank all the people of St Thomas for their great reception.
