In the last 24 hours, 46,169 new cases occurred. The number of people in the hospital with Covid is higher than ever – a quarter of whom are under 55 years old. There have been 529 more deaths unfortunately. This is a total of 81,960. The Department of Health says a dose of 2.6 million vaccines has been distributed to 2.3 million people. But hospitals across the country are in desperate struggle to cope.
