Coronavirus: Thirteen Killed at Stanley Care Home – BBC News

Thirteen residents of a care home in Durham County have died after showing symptoms of coronavirus.

Stanley Park home care officials said the deaths were “devastated”.

The first death was at the end of March, with Care UK being confirmed Monday by the operator.

The number of patients in the 72 bed home was not disclosed. A resident with a positive virus is in the hospital.

Five fatalities were reported on Sunday, Monday, the 13th.

Care UK said the last deceased resident was living at home and had symptoms that could indicate Covid-19, though no test was available.
