Coronavirus: Don’t don’t expect the UK blockade this week – Raab – BBC News

The government is not expected to make a change to reduce coronavirus blockade this week, Dominic Raab reported.

The Foreign Secretary said the UK plan was “working” but “we have not yet reached the peak of this virus”.

“Keep this up, we’ve come too far, lost too many loved ones and sacrificed too much,” he said.

He said the government could change the tips for using face masks.

Will face masks become the new rule?
British scientific adviser Sir Patrick Vallance said in a Downing Street newspaper that he was constantly reviewing changes to clarify whether people should wear face masks while they were away.

Asked by the BBC’s David Shukman whether the government can change its advice, Sir Patrick has said the government has already seen “more convincing” data than suggesting that a mask can pass on a person’s virus to someone else.
