A group of Central American migrants have encountered Guatemala and tear gas in Mexico and then while trying to travel to the U.S. border. Thousands of people were arrested Sunday on a road near the border with Honduras. The government has said it will not allow “illegal mass movements”. Every year, tens of thousands of Central American migrants make this dangerous journey to try to reach the U.S., often on foot, in groups called “caravans”.
