Residents say 3.5 billion euros more “too late” to remove dangerous cover – BBC News
The UK government has announced an additional £ 3.5bn for the removal of flammable covers from high-rise apartments in England. More than three-and-a-half years after the Grenfell Tower fire broke out, at least 700,000 people still live in blocks with dangerous cover. Ministers have been under more pressure to provide more support. The owners of the flats say the extra money is welcome, but does not address fire safety issues.
