Fact: The first photo that was published in the post was taken from the 2018 earthquake that struck Sicily, Italy. The other photo shows a building collapsed in the 2020 earthquake that struck the city of Elazig in eastern Turkey. These photos have nothing to do with the recent earthquake in Tajikistan. Hence, the claim made in the post is incorrect.

On a reverse image search of the photo that was published in the post, a similar image was found in a news article published on December 27, 2018. This article mentioned that it was the images of collapsed buildings in the earthquake that struck Sicily, Italy. The “BBC” published a similar picture, an article about the earthquake that struck the Sicily region.
