Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said a 4.6-magnitude earthquake occurred just 14 minutes ago, 35 kilometers southeast of Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Aceh, Indonesia, early in the morning on Tuesday 2 March 2021 1:22 am local time. The exact size, epicenter and depth of the earthquake may be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and improve their calculations, or when other agencies release their reports. It caused no major damage, but probably many people felt it as a slight shaking in the epicenter area. A weak tremor was probably felt in Banda Aceh (population 250,800) located 35 km from the epicenter, and Sigli (17,500 inhabitants) 48 km away.
