The award-winning poet Raymond Antrobus knew he was deaf at the age of six, and the cartoonist Polly Dunbar began his thirties. Can he ski? It’s the first photo book for kids and he follows a little bear when he hears it deafening. Raymond decided to write the story after being a poet in the first grade of primary school and finding that the books of deaf characters were missing from the library.
