Proceeds from 100,000 kuna za cruise

April 22, 2020 – The last chapter of Za Krizen 2020, with the appeal of the Varbonj za Zagreb earthquake reaching 100,000 kuna. Message from the cross-frame pregnant Matthew Bratnik.

As previously reported on TCN, Za Krizen’s religious procession listed on the UNESCO List in Maundy Thursday was one of the few events allowed to take place in the aura era, albeit under strictly controlled conditions (see detailed TCN eyewitness account Parade 9 Hours).

Matteo Bratanic, the crossed Vrbanj bearer, his family and the people of the Vrbanj village, decided to donate all Za Krizen 2020 revenue, including cash value on all gifts received, to victims of the devastating earthquakes in Zagreb last month. As I wrote last week, Matthew Tony’s father explained a little more about the Varbonj za Zagreb campaign (Varbonj is the word for Tone for Furbang), as well as inviting people to contribute until last Sunday.

Thanks to all! The humanitarian work we started on Palm Sunday has been successfully completed. A total of 100,000.00 KN was collected. As you know, it was possible to pay the donations to the parish account, directly to the pastor, as “lemozina” for the church and of course to Matteo himself who gave up all the cash gifts received. On top of the collected contributions, the Bratanic family donated an approximate sum of the number up to 100,000.00 KN. Kroner 50,000.00 will be paid into the account opened by the Government of the Open Republic of Croatia to assist Zagreb.

The remaining 50,000 kN will be paid to the account “Kuce sv. Terezije od Malog Isusa za nezbrinutu djecu” in Zagreb. It is an institution guided by the Carmelites from the divine heart of Jesus. They take care of children who do not have adequate parental care. Since the earthquake severely damaged their building in central Zagreb, they had to leave their buildings until everything was refurbished. And we decided to make our small contribution to the restoration of himself!
