Colombia: Conservation of unique species in war-torn forests – BBC News

Deforestation has gained tremendous strength in Colombia since the 2016 peace agreement.

BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner joins a team of scientists from the Royal Kew Botanical Garden on a mission to become a virgin rainforest.

They hope to find and preserve rare plant species before they are permanently destroyed and extinct.
