Another earthquake occurred in the Shreveport area

Residents north of Shreveport felt a bit of jerk off Thursday night when another earthquake struck our area. This was the second earthquake in one day and the third earthquake in our region in the past two weeks.

The USGS says the recent earthquake was felt in the Blanchard area around 7:45 pm Thursday. It scored 3.1 on the Richter scale with the epicenter west of Blanchard.

Shortly after midnight Thursday, our region recorded another earthquake. This number scored 2.5 on the Richter scale and was stationed near Uncertain, Texas.

On April 1, the US Geological Survey also reported an earthquake in the Blanchard area with a magnitude of 3.0. More than 36 residents reported that they felt this earthquake.
