A magnitude 4.9 earthquake was reported late at night near Nukualofa, Tongatapu, Tonga, according to the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), the earthquake struck Thursday April 29, 2021 at 11:01 pm local time at shallow depth. 21 km.
