The Indian National Center of Seismology (NCS) reported that a magnitude 5.1 earthquake occurred just 9 minutes ago 64 kilometers southeast of Faizabad, Afghanistan, and the earthquake struck at a depth of 282.1 kilometers below the epicenter near Faizabad, Visabad, Badakhshan, Afghanistan, After midnight Friday April 30, 2021 at 12:06 AM local time. The exact size, epicenter, and depth of the earthquake can be reviewed within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review the data and improve their calculations, or when other agencies release their reports.
