Jerusalem: UN resolutions Trump s denied the statement – BBC News

The United Nations General Assembly has adopted a resolution recognizing the U.S. as the capital for recognizing Jerusalem as Israel.
128 countries approved it, 35 abstained and nine countries voted against.
The text says any decision on the state of the city is “null and void” and should be rescinded.
It came after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to cut subsidies to those who supported the resolution.
Prior to the vote, the Palestinian foreign minister called on member states to reject “blackmail and intimidation”.
