South Korean President Park Geun-hye has become the first democratically elected leader to resign.
The judges unanimously approved the decision of the parliament in a corruption scandal involving its member Choi Soon-sil.
He is now losing his immunity for the presidency and could face criminal charges. There have been angry scenes outside the court. Police said two protesters were killed.
