We are in the third round of running through the San Jose Earthquake jerseys in the MLS era of our Sagittarius competition. Then, in the post-hiatus period, when the club did a major shift in the colors of its shirts for the next few years.

Earthquakes are back, my love! This basic shirt introduces a fresh primary color, black, with blue and white as distinct colors.

The white secondary part features “EarthQuakes” with blue accents and black stripes. It sounds a little simple, but wait, the team is back, and that’s what really matters here.

2009

Goodbye San Jose, welcome Amway, as the earthquake got its first shirt sponsor in 2009. Otherwise, the basic shirt remained the same in 2008.

2010-11

The color scheme remains the same as this basic shirt, with the blue accent color blocks moving to the shoulder / armpit area and some accent tubes on the top of the chest.

The secondary also maintains continuity with previous releases, but the oblique blocks are asymmetrical – one side descends the blue block to the bottom of the shirt, and the other ends in the middle. why? There is no idea!

2012-13

They have already embraced the black earthquakes in this talisman, with the base having only blue parts like the underarm, white tubes on the sleeves and oblique, and lots of black.

Earthquakes hardly used this secondary jerseys, which were blue with black armpit blocks and accents and white adidas stripes, in 2012, but they used it much more the following year. This is an unusual high school in modern history, because earthquakes did not have a white secondary, which became the standard for helping distinguish between adversaries.
