Coronavirus deaths disproportionately large for black and ethnic minorities

When photos of the first 10 doctors killed by Covid-19 appeared, it seemed unusual that all of them were ethnic minorities.

At the time, it was not clear that the numbers reflected that a large proportion of NHS primary workers were blacks, Asians or ethnic minorities (BAME).

Now, more detailed data has shown that the BAME community is affected by this virus.
