The Queen has announced a ‘time of transition’ in which the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be split between Canada and the UK. His Majesty’s speech in Sandringham today said he was “totally supportive” of Harry and Meghan’s desire for the new role, but admitted that he “preferred” to work as a full-time king. The speech was made in a joint statement by Harry and his brother William, denying claims that their relationship had been harmed as a result of the harassment.
