Ukrainian government websites were hit by a cyber attack on Friday after hackers warned people to be afraid and expect the worst. NPR reports.
The websites of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Cabinet of Ministers and the Security and Defense Council were taken down and a message replaced all the previous texts they read: Ukrainian! All your personal data was uploaded to the public network. All data on the computer is destroyed, it is impossible to restore them.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and Josep Borrell condemned the attacks, according to Guardian.
Borrel said the European Union’s political and security committee will decide how to respond to the situation in Kiev.
