Integrating health into the global stock
This side event, organized by the World Health Organisation, the Global Alliance for Climate and Health, the Wellcome Trust and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, is part of Bonn Conference on Climate Change takes place from June 5-15.
This session will focus on the links between health and climate change, including health losses and harms and the co-benefits of mitigation and adaptation; present examples of policies across sectors that benefit people and the planet; and explore tools and recommendations for integrating health into Global gathering (GST). It will explore the links between health and the implementation of the Paris Agreement, including mitigation, adaptation, loss and damage, and the means of implementation. Speakers will identify recommendations for incorporating health into the results of the Global Stocktake, including integrating health into Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and long-term strategies. There will also be an update on the wider integration of health at COP28 and discussion of shared objectives across the climate and health communities.
