The CBSE asks the examination centers to ensure an adequate distance between students in the classrooms
New Delhi | Jagran Press Office: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has ordered the examination centers of the board to provide seating at a sufficient distance between students to contain the spread of the coronavirus.
"It is the responsibility of the examination centers to ensure that candidates for the jury exams are seated at a distance of one meter from each other. Because wherever the size of the room does not allow it, candidates can be divided into other rooms. Exam invigilators should wear masks or cover their faces with tissues during exams, "said CBSE exam controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, in a notice published by the PTI.
The CBSE board exam for classes 10 and 12, which started in February, is scheduled to end in April.
According to the opinion, all examination centers are required to have rows of benches placed at a distance of one meter from each other allowing students to maintain an adequate distance from each other others.
The school board also advised supervisors to cover their faces with handkerchiefs or to wear masks while on duty. The board also asked them to use their own disinfectants in the classrooms.
Earlier this month, the CBSE announced that it would allow students, appearing in class 10 and 12, to wear masks and hand sanitizer in the exam center.
"CBSE receives several requests from students and parents due to the persistent problem related to the Corona virus, regarding the authorization of face masks and disinfectants in examination centers. In view of the requests received, it is clarified that face masks and disinfectants can be transported by students, if they wish, to examination centers, "said the CBSE in a press release on Wednesday.
