Mayor of Walsall to raise flag to mark Armed Forces Day 2024

On Monday 24th June 2024, Walsall Council will raise the Armed Forces flag to mark the annual Armed Forces Day.
The ceremony which will start at 10.30am will be led by the Mayor of Walsall, Councilor Anthony Harris, who will raise the flag in a short service to recognize and celebrate the unwavering dedication of the men and women currently serving. and have served in His Majesty's Armed Forces.
It is an honor to raise the flag of the Armed Forces and recognize the brave men, women, cadets, serving reservists and veterans who serve our great country.
I look forward to this ceremony because it is an important way for us to show our gratitude and appreciation for their service and sacrifice.
The ceremony will be attended by a number of dignitaries including Deputy Lieutenant David Frost CBE DL, Mayor Christina Harris, Deputy Mayor Louise Harrison, Mayor's Cadet, representatives of veterans' associations, local organizations and staff from Walsall Council and Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust.
Members of the public are invited to attend the ceremony and show their support for the Armed Forces.
