Sharma said he will continue to be available to play Tests and one-day internationals for India.

India's last major tour success was in the ODI World Cup they hosted in 2011. Since then they have endured a painful run of few defeats, the most grueling 50-run final on home soil in Ahmedabad in Australia in November.

They also lost the World Test Championship final to the same opposition at The Oval last summer.
