Alstom APM trains departed at Denver International Airport

Denver International Airport (DEN) is rolling out Alstoms Innovia Automated People Mover (APM) trains to increase capacity, efficiency and passenger comfort.

The Innovia APM 300R trains will transfer passengers between the Terminal and Concourses A, B and C at Denver International, which serves 77.8 million passengers annually.

These modern trains are the first of their kind in North America, offering increased capacity with up to eight four-car trains operating simultaneously.

Their introduction will expand DEN's APM fleet to 41 vehicles throughout 2024 to help the airport meet current and future demands as well as accommodate maintenance schedules.

Innovia 300R APMs have lightweight aluminum car bodies made from recyclable materials. They also use an efficient power supply that reduces energy consumption in airports by more than 30%.
