WARMINGTON: Toronto police positive for COVID-19

Five members of the Toronto police force are infected with COVID-19 and others are also concerned about having contracted the coronavirus.

Three of those who tested positive worked on the same shift at 14 divisions. A fourth officer worked in a downtown division and the fifth case is a civilian employee who works at the head office on College St.

“Over 500 members have isolated themselves,” said Toronto Police Association president Mike McCormack. “Many of these members returned from travel during the March vacation. We are following this closely. “
