Coronavirus: UAE reports 15 new cases of Covid-19 and two patients recover – News

Two Chinese patients of the new coronavirus, Covid-19, have recovered, bringing the total number of cases recovered in the UAE to seven, the Ministry of Health and Prevention MoHAP announced Friday.

According to MoHAP, the early tracking and reporting system examined 13 Covid-19 cases for one individual each from Thailand, China, Morocco and India, two individuals from Saudi Arabia, ; Ethiopia and Iran and three individuals from the United Arab Emirates. All of these cases have come from abroad.
Two cases, from the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, were diagnosed with the virus by an active surveillance system to be in close contact with confirmed cases previously announced as part of the cycling event, the UAE Tour.
Five people in close contact with Covid-19 patients were also examined, placed under medical quarantine and subjected to preventive measures to slow the spread of the virus, the press release added.
All cases are monitored 24 hours a day, are in stable condition and receive all necessary health care, said MoHAP.
In infection prevention and control measures, the MoHAP also noted that all relevant authorities in the United Arab Emirates have joined forces to monitor the situation and take swift action to prevent the spread of the coronavirus since its appearance in China.
